“Making God’s will your will”

We are all God’s stewards, entrusted to use his gifts for the good of our family and our church family.   In thanksgiving we should take will writing seriously – setting our affairs in order and stewarding them wisely. Making a will and updating it regularly is the only way to ensure your wishes are fulfilled, giving you peace of mind that you can continue to support family, friends and causes that you love. After your loved ones have been cared for, a gift in your will can be a final expression of your gratitude and thanksgiving towards God

Your Gift 

Your gift to us, no matter the size,  will make a real difference to our church, and anything you can give will be received with thanks and gratitude.

The gift you leave to us will go towards: 

•  Maintaining our beautiful worship and long-standing choral tradition
• Preserving and enhancing the unique architectural heritage of our church building
• Provide for church-centred activities for children and community projects
• Continue to help local charities care for vulnerable people.

Writing your Will 

If you would like to leave something to Our Lady of Lourdes in your will, there are two ways to include your gift to the church.    ​ If you already have a will, you can contact our Business Manager, Mr. Josh Blandford, at joshb@ourlourdes.org

If you have not yet made a will you can, when will is being prepared, add a small legacy can be incorporated in the document itself.

“I give …………% of my residuary estate or give the sum of $……. (dollars only) free of all taxes to Our Lady of Lourdes in the Archdiocese of Louisville, for its general purposes, and I declare that the receipt of an officer of Our Lady of Lourdes shall be sufficient discharge to my executors and Trustee. Since needs change over the years, we encourage you to leave a gift in your will for the general purposes of the parish rather than for a restricted purpose. We will discuss possible uses of your gift with your executors when the time comes, bearing in mind your known areas of interest in the church (e.g. music, buildings, children and youth, overseas mission or aid) and the church’s priorities at the time.
